@Reign14: mine used to do that… I’d keep switching it and squawking when I had to. Now he puts it in the way I like it.

being a bull in the china shop… sometimes he’s not careful when doing dishes and its my gorgeous matched japanese dishware. Leaving his socks around. ARGHHH!!! And they seem to multiply!!! Leaving used cups in the sink without soaking them. Who wants to scrub dried milk out later!?

He eats his food individually (all peas first, all mashed potatoes second, etc). I don’t know why but it drives me crazy.

@Reign14: My Mother-In-Law actually SWITCHES my toilet paper in our powder room every time she’s over and using the bathroom. THAT drives me batty. I don’t care how you have it in your own house, but don’t touch it in mine.

Haha, I don’t really pay attention to which way the toilet paper goes… I guess that makes me a bad wife!

My husband will try and clean the kitchen after I cook dinner and he always does such a half assed job, it’s annoying. He will either only clean the dishes that are close to him and not grab the pots off the sink, not wipe down the counters, etc. I feel bad and don’t want to nag about it so I just finish up after he’s ‘done.’

@Reign14: My Darling Husband also does this, but while it drives me nuts I try to choose my battles and I just flip it when I see it the wrong way. He squeezed the toothpaste from the middle not the end and leaves the cap off, those two things drive me totally insane (and that is a battle worth fighting!) and lastly he gets water all over the sink and bathroom countertop from when he washs his face, hands, whatever and doesn’t wipe it down, so freaking annoying!

@Reign14:

Fiance has more or less stopped doing it now, but he used to walk off with the toilet paper.  Like pull it out of the holder, but the little bar back in the holder and walk off with the toilet paper.   When I confronted him about this, which went along the lines of, “girls sit to pee…we need paper! Stop stealing it!” He confessed that he wasn’t aware he was doing it.  lol..I was like, how are you not aware of all the steps you are doing?

Anyways… it’s been 3 years that we’ve been living together and I haven’t seen him do it in about a year.  Thank goodness because I have to say, it was one of the most annoying habits I have ever had to endure!!

ps…I’m glad I’m not the only one that goes nuts over their “help”.  Reading this thread makes me feel more normal about my tiffs with Fiance

@2PeasinaPod: Oh god this drives me insane. Whatever way you want it in your house is fine, but how freaking RUDE is it to mess with someone else’s way just because you think it’s wrong??

My husband jiggles his legs. All. The. Time. We’ll be laying in bed trying to go to sleep and he’ll be moving his feet back and forth, back and forth, shaking the whole bed because apparently he’s physically incapable of staying still.

My Fiance puts everything off until the last minute… unless it’s technology related.  I end up nagging him and that’s not good.  For example, his task right now is to contact a realtor.  It’s been months.  Yet I tell him I need something for my cell phone and suddenly he has all this time to google and search and make a purchase for the cell phone.  Drives me crazy.

Fiance will put dirty dishes in the sink which less than one foot from the dishwasher. It drives me batty. He also is struggling with the “putting down the seat” thing. He’s trying though. At least that’s what he says!

Oh, Fiance squeezes the toothpaste from the middle too, so I told him to stop it or I’m going to get my own tube of toothpaste… now we have two tubes of toothpaste.

@Nicoso: LOL…what was he doing with it? I mean, I’ll change it if I see it’s empty, but to walk off with it??

@misspeanut: I love my Mother-In-Law…I really do. But it’s the one thing she does that makes my blood boil. I don’t say anything for the sake of keeping the peace, but I remind him that she does it every, single time!

He puts his dirty dishes on the counter BESIDE the sink. He won’t put them IN the sink. He’s paranoid that they will break in there. We have a ceramic sink, so I guess it’s possible…BUT, hey! Here’s an even better idea. Put them in the dishwasher instead of the sink or on the counter beside the sink! Even if I’ve emptied the dishwasher, he will just stack his dishes on the counter. He thinks it’s more efficient to build them up then put them all in the dishwasher at the same time….which, yeah, it must be more efficient for you since it drives me so crazy I end up putting them in the freaking dishwasher for you!!!

Not that this is an issue for me at all…. LOL.
