Yeah, it doesn’t look anything like a wedding dress.

ETA: Even without the belt, I still wouldn’t mistake it for a wedding dress. It looks familiar…I think I’ve either seen it on Modcloth or Shabby Apple.

That would be so frustrating. If it makes you feel any better I didn’t even notice her in the picture, because you look gorgeous, your granny is adorable, and the girl in yellow looks so cute. 🙂

My 1st wedding was a very small affair (25 people) in a lilac garden. I wore a tea length white dress and my mother wore a long white dress. It was awful. No one deserves to have any little tiny bit of the spotlight on their wedding day stolen from them.

I’m in the process of planning my 2nd wedding which is going to be a much larger affair as it is my fiance’s first wedding. My mom asked if I needed her to do anything for the wedding, so I told her I needed her not to wear white.

You should see if your photographer can edit the color of her dress in one of your photos. Frame it and give it to your Step-MIL as a gift 🙂

I think the fact that it’s white is what she is annoyed about.

I knew a girl who wore a long white maxi dress to her relatives wedding whose mother she despises, and the poor brides dress was a long white maxi with a few sparkles to glam it up a bit!

WHITE IS A NO-NO AT ANY WEDDING!

Aww I’m sorry…I had a guest wear white to my wedding as well. It didn’t really bother me, but I was a little annoyed that she ignored standard wedding rules. Not to mention she is my now BIL’s girlfriend so she was sitting at the table right next to us. She super sweet though so I’m sure she didn’t do it on purpose. In any case it’s very obvious that you are the bride and I wouldn’t have even noticed her outfit except that it was pointed out.
