So i decided instead of doing a huge tutorial and recap at the end i would just keep posting as i went along. I started strassing my shoes yesterday and i am thrilled with the way that they are coming along!
To start i ordered my crystals from bead_better off of ebay. They took about 3 weeks to get here but the quality is great.
What i am using:
Party pick (tooth pick with a thicker end)
4000 4mm crystals
6000 3mm crystals
1000 5mm crystals
I started with the heel. So that it gave me a place to practice
I squirted a dob of glue on the posterboard (important that it is white, the color may bleed), then used the party pick to add the glue to the heel. I did it in tiny sections then used the jewel setter to place the crystals. I actually liked using the thin end better, because the end with the wax, left a residue on the crystals.
After the heels i did the seams of the shoes

after the seams and edges i started on the back, where i am now
I will keep posting as i get further along.
Feel free to ask questions, or give advice!!!
PS sorry for the crappy photo quality, once these babies are done i will take better pics

@sweetchiquita12: No patience here. I have been watching fav. movies while doing them. It takes my mind off of the time that it is taking

They look fantastic! wish i had that much patience to do mine. I’m thinking of doing the heels and the platform toe on my shoe but i have so many DIY projects going on atm i don’t think i could do another till i have finished with the rest. I’m really looking forward to seeing the end results.
You seem to be powering through. How long have they taken you to get to this stage?
