So we don’t celebrate Christmas, sort of, we have little ones so “Santa” stops by for them but beside the Fiance and I do something call random acts of presents week, which is a giant scavenger hunt that takes place the first week of the new year. This is because Christmas generally makes me sad(long story) so I just do it. Any who that being said I didn’t expect anything.
Fiance had decided midday that he wanted to make me dinner and have an “us” night, which generally means staying up and watching adult swim followed by sexy time. Anywho, he “forgot” to make desert and ask me to do it, while he take a shower or whatever. So I am in the kitchen making brownies, the kids are a sleep, so when I fill a tug on my pants I’m all like WTF(remember xmas isn’t my day)
Well I turn around and he is all on his knees with the ring grinning like an idiot. I’m shocked because I knew I was getting an engagement ring but I never really thought he would actually ask me to marry him. So now I’m also grinning and he ask me if I will marry him and i stand their for a few moments just staring at him. I say yes, we hug, and that was it.
To be honest is wasn’t that great of a proposal, since it was sper of the moment and I am pretty sure he just wanted to cheer me up. But the rest of the night was AWESOME, not in a sexy way just in that we just connected agian.(todders really kill bonding time, so it had been a while) It was so awesome that the awesomeness spilled into this morning and will hopefully continue for the rest of our life.
It made me realize that I don’t need anything but him, not the ring or the dress or any of the frills. It’s all meaningless, don’t get me wrong I love my ring, and our wedding is probably going to rock, most certainly now that it is just us without any guest. But if I didn’t get even that I am sure I wouldn’t care, as long as we could be together, like this.
Anyhoo, here is the pic and I hope everyone had an awesome holiday 🙂
