Some of you have seen my mini-recap, but here’s my full (guest photo) one. I’ve blurred faces to protect people’s identities, but I hope you don’t mind! The day went by absolutely perfectly. Nothing went wrong whatsoever, and I know how amazingly rare that is by spending time on this forum!
I spent the night at my mum’s, and at 9am my hair and makeup stylist and my Maid/Matron of Honor arrived. 30 min later the photographer came, and by 11am my hair and makeup was all done. It looked lovely (I had a natural makeup with a gold and brown ‘smokey’ eye and some eyeliner, and a berry-pinkish lipstick) 🙂 Then I got my dress on and by 12pm we were picked up and driven to the portrait session with my now Darling Husband. The weather report was not good, but there was no rain, just a bit of cloud. We got lots of amazing photos and I can’t wait to see them!
We then went to the church, and Darling Husband and I had some photos taken outside, and then we went through one last time how we were entering the church. Then the guests started to arrive, so I went and hid in the bridal room, and Darling Husband stayed outside with my brother to guide people to their seats. The ceremony was beautiful and my MOH’s wonderful little sister sang, giving me goosebumps from her talent. We exited the church, and when we ran out on the stairs my brother had given everyone bubbles instead of rice/confetti. As we exited the church the sun broke out as well, at is was bright sunshine for the rest of the day.
We then went to the hotel where the reception was held, and I got changed into my reception dress. When all our guests had arrived, Darling Husband and I walked over to our venue (it’s like a small castle looking building in which the hotel hosts events) and we had a lovely dinner, cake, and dancing. The menu was ox carpaccio with Jerusalem artichoke (sorry no picture!), juniper smoked reindeer calf with parsnip cake, mushroom sausage and kale, and a frozen blueberry mousse with meringues, whipped cream, raspberry sauce, and berries. It was divine!
To end it all before the dancing, we had a cake with strawberry, vanilla and champagne filling, that was made by the same bakers who made the wedding cake for the Swedish crown princess when she got married!
Anyway, to the pictures, which I know is what you’re here for! If you’ve actually read my little story – hat off to you. If not, I’m not offended 😉 Enjoy my pictures!!!
