Mine actually did once. Dumped the whole thing in the tank. I learned to sleep with my bedroom door open…lol.

I think you’d be better off just giving the fish a fresh tank full of water at this point. Our daughter gets into trouble with the cat in the early hours, I feel your pain!

Mine unfotrunately did since DS woke up when it was still dark and I woke up at 9. Mine was a beta though so smaller tank.

I wuld just vacuum the tank. It might be easier. Or place him in another container and dump it.

@Mrs. Bear Cheese Pie:  This is way to funny lol toddlers are so curious  and distructive at times. I can relate I woke up to DS hammering his metal toy airplane into his bedroom wall. He said he was “Building it” but now he has little holes all over his room *sigh* atleast they are being creative lol.

ETA: He didn’t actually have a hammer he was smashing it into the wall as if it was a hammer.

That much fish food requires a water change…you probably want to put the rocks in a strainer and wash them, as well.

@Mrs. Bear Cheese Pie:  Oh dear! I do think you need to do a big water change, but don’t wash everything with tap water or you’ll kill all the good bacteria and cause the tank to cycle. If you can’t vaccuum the rocks and need to take them out and wash them, try to at least keep a bag of dirty rocks in a mesh bag (old pantyhose work fine) for a few days, until the bacteria reestablish themselves. Good luck!!!!

@mmr66:  I need to make sure my husband doesn’t see that site before I get pregnant.  I’m afraid he’ll run out and get a vasectomy!
