I think i heard of similar idea but with candle stick holders instead of vases. Came out great though! gotta love thrift stores 🙂

I used to frequent a forum where people were making different things out of glass, including cake stands. The adhesive mentioned most often was aquarium silicon or JBWeld. Both are supposedly food grade.

These are really cute! I do worry about them not holding much, though. The one with the vase in particular, looks like the bottom plate will hold MAYBE ten small cookies.

Have you thought about using the vases on the bottom, and then using thin candleholders in the middle? This will also keep you from having to worry about the majority of the weight being on the top (and posing a tip hazard).

Is the vase and heart shaped container made out of plastic or glass? I would prefer if they were made out of glass. The whole concept looks really, really cute though. I love pink.
