Not bad chic! SO lucky to have the manzanita on a farm! Everypone wanted $20-36 for them! I found mine for $9. Check craigslist for votive holders, ocasionally you find someone trying to get rid of their wedding stuff ( this was how i got over 100 for $5! ). I used coupond for my crystal garlands too:) How funny I was considering spray painting mine silver too…were your branches sandblasted?

Looks nice! My one manzanita display ran me close to $50 when it was all said and done.

@UpstateCait: yeah, mine will be from $40-50 if I add two 6 foot garlands to each centerpiece. If I keep it at 1 garland of crystal it will be $40….times 25 tablesSurprised ugh see now THIS is why I wanted to elope:)

@misskittykakes: The only pic I have is of the manzanita in the background. It should atleast give you an idea, though. Don’t mind the crappy photoshopped seating chart. It was much prettier pre hackjob-edit…

I bought the branches from Blooms and Branches. They were like $30ish for a set of 2. I got the amber colored glass vase from Marshalls for $11 and I had the glass jewels lying around. The hanging crystals, which I got out of the jewelry making section of Michaels, were around $15 for 6 strands after coupon and the flowers were $3 a stem but I only needed 2. Looks like it was closer to $60 but worth every penny. Thankfully I was only making one for our gift/seating table. I wouldn’t have been able to swing that for each centerpiece!

@misskittykakes: Wow, girl, you are on the ball!  They’re going to look so lovely when all the lights are dimmed. 🙂

Those look awesome! I love them!

Have you thought about checking for some after Christmas sales on votives holders? I bought 48 white/ivory votive candles for $5 at walmart and white taper candles for .30 each at Jo Ann’s. Just a thought!

Do you have a habitat Restore in your area? They always have tons of  votives and stuff around here and they cost abou .15-.25 each from what I’ve seen. That is if you don’t mind some variation in holders. If your wedding is in October you have some time to stock up on them.

Actually, I think that amount of lights is perfect! It still lights up quite a bit! As far as covering the cement, I vote for having a layer of flower petals and then having some crushed crystals on top of that! 🙂

I really like the last picture the best as I love LOTS of lights.  I ordered some branches off of Ebay and am waiting on them to arrive.  My wedding is in september so I still have plenty of time to get it the way I want it to look…  I made several strands of crystals, different lengths and sizes — I am not sure yet whether I will paint the branches or leave it natural.

What type of lights did you use?  Did you use small white christmas light strands or get some sort of lights that run on batteries?  thanks so much

Also, your urn is very pretty.
