Venue – Ceremony & Reception: de Seversky Center (www.nyit.edu/resources/restaurant)
De Seversky Center is just simply amazing! The drive to the mansion is breathtaking. The entrance, ballroom, library, all incredibly gorgeous. The bridal suite is TO DIE FOR! Just about everyone has said it’s the best bridal suite they’ve ever seen. The interior and exterior of de Seversky Center is so refined, photos alone do no justice. The food was excellent and everything was white glove service! Debbie worked with us on all the arrangements and was a pleasure to work with. She answered all my MANY questions and was incredibly helpful. Terrence was on hand on our wedding day, and kept everything perfect. He made sure we were comfortable, had drinks, ate food, etc. He was great!! Our guests couldn’t believe there was a place like this in NY.
Photographer: Yun Gen Yang Photography (www.yangphoto.com)
Yun Gen was the second vendor we booked. I can truly say he was one of my favorites! He is unbelievably talented. His work is fresh and creative. He surely has a gift!! Yun Gen is 100% flexible and accommodating. His second photographer, Thai, was just as awesome. The two of them made the perfect team!! It’s been almost five months since our wedding and our friends & family are still fawning over our photos! Yun Gen Yang’s photos speak louder than words. Check out his site, you will not be disappointed.
Wedding Coordination (Day of): Annie Lee of Daughter of Design (www.daughterofdesign.com)
Working with Annie was a dream come true! She’s two steps ahead of everything. She’s into every detail and has an incredible sense of style. Annie and her two assistants helped keep our wedding day stress free! I had nothing to do but enjoy it. Annie kept everything on schedule and nothing fell through the cracks. She was very responsive to all my emails and offered valuable feedback. She took care of just about everything and is simply amazing! She’s top-notch! I really don’t know how I could’ve managed without her.
Music: Soul Revival Band (www.soulrevivalband.com)
We love Soul Revival Band! We did not want a typical wedding band and we did not get a typical wedding band. We fell in love with them after going to their showcase and booked them the day after! This band is so much fun!! Their song list is awesome. They even let my hubby sing a song, that was crazy! We worked out all the details w/ Justin, working with him was so easy. Everything was done flawlessly. A member of the band play acoustic guitar during the ceremony, Justin played the grand piano during cocktail hour, and the entire band played during the reception. It was all wonderful! If you want a fun wedding, you must book Soul Revival Band!
Flowers: Flowers by Burton (www.flowersbyburton.com)
We worked w/ John at Flowers by Burton. Our dealings with him were fabulous from Day 1. His experience and knowledge is undeniable. He listened to all of our concerns and gave us many great suggestions. Everything he promised was delivered even better than we could’ve expected.
Cigar Roller: La-Rosa Cubana Cigars (www.larosacubanacigars.com)
SUCH A BIG HIT!!!!! This was a special treat for the cocktail hour. Our cigar roller was so professional and friendly. Everyone loved him! La-Rosa is very affordable and added a very nice touch.
Cupcakes: My Little Cupcake (www.mylittlecupcake.com)
We worked w/ Kirsten at My Little Cupcakes. We went to them with a few ideas and they were super cool and accommodating to our requests. They supplied the cupcake tower and even picked it up from the venue after the reception. Everyone LOVED the cupcakes. We also ordered a Red Velvet Cake for cutting and it was absolutely delicious. I’ll be going there for cupcakes for my next event!
Hair & Make-up: Ai Sakai (www.ailovehair.com)
Ai is fantastic! Hands down, SHE IS THE THE MASTER of hair and makeup. I don’t wear much make-up so it was very important that I looked “natural.” She took everything I said into consideration and worked magic. She’s great and very, very cool!
