Ughh….. The venue guy and I got off on the wrong foot somehow and now I think he hates me! I swear, I am not being irritating or calling him all time or anything like that. When I do email him he doesn’t reply at all. In the last 2-3 months I have sent him 3 emails asking the same thing since he has not yet replied. I called him today for one thing and he asked me to email him because he was on his way out, but that he would reply to my email before he left. I just forwarded a message containing my question to him as to not write a new email. I also forwarded one more email that was sent last month that he had yet to reply to. He then replied really upset about how he was on his way out and dropped everything to answer my email and yet that was not good enough for me (since I sent the other email). I was honestly ony expecting him to reply to the email he requested and reply later to the other.
Then he said that he never seems to satisfy my needs so maybe their venue isn’t for me in which case they’d be glad to refund my deposit. Ughh, he’s being such an ass. I knwo I have not been a Bitch to him. I can be one a second, but I have been nothing but nice and patient with him.
My worst fear is that he’ll cancel my booking last minute! Can he do that?

Is there another venue person you can deal with? He’s being totally unprofessional and can’t cancel on you if you have a contract.

Unless you really like this venue, I would take him up on his offer and then review how unreasonable he’s been. People should know that e-mail is supposed to be answered, but that it is also not expected to be answered immediately.

Is the venue worth it? This guy sounds like a jerk.

Either talk to his boss, or take him up on his offer and find yourself someplace that’s going to be less stressful to deal with.

His behavior is unacceptable. I would try to work with a different planner and then complain to his boss.

Take that deposit and run!! This is crazy and dealing with a venue shouldn’t be this hard. I agree about posting bad reviews. They certainly deserve it!!

Yeah, go someplace else! He literally said he doesn’t want your business. Unprofessional!

Argh. This happened with the bridal shop where I brought my dress.

This happened to me too with a venue. The venue rep literally said, “Oh, I didn’t tell you about that fee because you’re spending so much money that I didn’t really think you would notice.” and she also said, “If money is an issue than maybe you shouldn’t have your wedding here.”
