Wooooooooooow girl. Wow.

I’d have to cover that wall with something too. I know some Bee’s have used backdrops for their weddings so maybe something like that? I’d cover the dart boards like in the silver picture, maybe with some pictures of you guys?

Hmm. Yay for free venues though!

Let’s see….

Fabric covering the ugly blue wall – seems to be the only real option.

I kind of like what the last picture tried to do with the dart boards, in theory. It could be much dressier and cuter. Maybe you could somehow have it be a “guest book” like thing?

I would do longer window coverings (those are changing, right?) maybe in the red with black or silver tie-backs. The third picture actually is your color scheme, right? I think they did fine on some things. BIGGER centerpieces for sure! And maybe some fun lighting elements?

1.. Ask if they would consider painting the blue wall a neutral color, or let you paint it if you provide the paint. This could be done anytime between now and your wedding. It’s amazing what people will agree to if it doesn’t cost them anything.

2.Instead of covering just the two dartboards, which actually draws more attention to them, have pics of you and FH blown up and printed in black and white, mount them on foamcore and place them along the whole wall. Or, do the same with family wedding photos.

Is the TV that thing covered in black drapes? It looks like it is built into some kind of stand. Could it not be removed? If not, would the layout work to drape it fully to the floor and have it be a backdrop for the head table, guestbook or cake table?

3. I don’t think it will look bare when full with your guests, but you could fill the ceiling with lanterns or balloons. These ones are just too sparse.

Ok… for the blue wall… Cover with black paper or something, and hang silver tinsel curtains. For an example of what this might like, see here: http://apracticalwedding.com/2011/08/yay-new-york-photobooth/

I think I’d do white tablecloths, with black linens like super fancy restaurants (and use the black and red chairs so that they’re all in your color scheme). Then you can have lots of fun with the centerpieces.

For the dart boards, I think I would actually hang something between them. So like… pushpins with some sort of twine between them and then hang pictures or notes for well wishes, so it actually kinda looks like a photo garland hanging between the two dartboards. Kinda like this, http://www.cupcakesandcutlery.com/photo-garland-coffee-hasnt-kicked-in-yet-no-puns-today/
but with the starting point being on one dartboard, and the ending point being on the other dartboard, and you could make multiple tiers of them. Heck, you could then do any kind of garland, it doesn’t have to be photos. It could be like words or flowers or whatever your favorite is.

Oh I think that would look very nice!

I’d cover the wall in white so it matches the other walls and you can decorate from there.

Why not do draping on the walls and then a lot of those places can also do uplighting?

You can also buy a couple of strings of christmas lights and then buy tulle and tie the pieces inbetween each light, it will make it look fuller and provide a nice ambiance! 🙂

If you needed something cheap to at least cover it up before you decorate it, you can always go to the dollar store or a party store and buy those HUGE colored table cloths.

Honestly, its not that bad for being free! Lucky girl!

Its too bad they wont let you just take everything off the walls and paint the blue wall a pretty color. You could always offer to paint it back blue after?
