Here’s a rough draft:
Jay, I wanted to get married in the spring (hopefully everyone will laugh since it’s fall).
But the reason I wanted to get married in the spring is because of what the season represents – new life and hope after a long winter.
But then I realized that it didn’t matter which season we got married in, because it doesn’t matter which season our lives are in.
We’ve been through blizzards, rain, tornadoes, floods, and earthquakes – literally and figuratively – and we’ve only gotten stronger.
You’ve stood by my side no matter what, and shown me the true meaning of unconditional love. And your patience for me is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.
I promise to have you and hold you always – whether you have extra money to buy me flowers for no reason, or whether we’re struggling to pay the bills. Whether you’re sick and whiney or feeling so good you’re bouncing off the walls. I will love you and cherish you as you have done for me, as long as we’re on this earth, and beyond.
I love you.
sooooo, what does everyone think?
Too cheesy?? Too long?
I tried to incorporate the whole “richer/poorer, sickness/health” thing in my own wy.
