@mrs. loubiton- so good to know, thanks!
@prettyflowers- you’re right, it doesn’t match exactly. there is a band that matches my ring exactly but i passed on it. the diamonds in my band are 2mm and the metal on either side makes the band 3mm width. i tried on a matching band at a jewelry store and the whole look was just too wide for my tastes. i also tried thinner channel set bands but then the diamonds were really tiny and looked funny next to my ring. so i decided the closest to “matching” i would get is same-size diamonds sans metal. the difference in detail doesn’t bug me at all, but i’m not a perfectionist 🙂
I’m still torn! Last night I was pretty much convinced that I was getting the unique one but something kept bothering me about it. I tried them both on this morning and realized that what kind of bugs me is the sparkle. My e-ring band is VERY sparkly. The pave set band is VERY sparkly. The bezel set band is only…. kinda sparkly. I know its just a function of the way that it is set, but when they’re on together in real life the band looks a little dull next to the firey e-ring.
So basically I like the unique band alone, in photos, and when my hand is absolutely still better. But when I move at all and my ring catches the light, the pave is the clear winner.
Ahhhhhhh…… dunno! haha

By asymmetry i mean…hm. Ok you know how when someone wears one wedding band and one engagement ring and the center stone is placed towards the outside? It’s not centered in all the metal. Versus if you had two wedding bands, it’d be symmetrical.
Seriously i am a weirdo about this.
It sounds to me like you like bling and you should go with some bling =]. Are there any stores near you doing a going out of business sale? i saw a 1 carat 5 stone band at a liquidation sell for like $1100 a year or so ago.

Maybe you should ask to keep both of them. 🙂
Post # 35
@ejs- ohhhhh i get it! I actually like the asymmetrical look for right now. Although I told Fiance that I’m not ruling out asking for a matching band for an anniversary gift at some point 🙂
@clody- that is what both my mom and Fiance suggested! haha. Tempting, but its not in our budget and it’d be kind of weird (to me) to have 2 wedding bands “just because” i couldn’t make a decision lol

You could get the nonmatchy one as a anniversary band in the future, cause it would make sense to be gifted a ring in the future that doesn’t necessarily match your ering. First baby present maybe?
These suggestions are only offered to encourage you to get the pave setting cause I like matchy matchies. :p
Post # 37
@sahsabahs- haha i like the way you think 🙂 I do think that if i get the matchy one I’ll tell Fiance: REMEMBER the non-matchy… i would like something similar at some point in the future.

Hey corgi- I vote for ring B! I think your poll results maynot going to be completely accurate because the pics are swapped.
Anyhoo, I chose ring B because it’s unique, can be re-sized (I think this is important) and can be worn on it’s own as a statement piece.
My ring doesn’t look like yours, but I also opted to get something unique that can be worn by itself if I ever want to.

I voted for A before I realized the pics were reversed. I really like ring B or the 1st picture much better.
I like the Ring B best because it is not matchy-matchy. YOu may be able to look for one that is not a full eternity band. Try Brilliant Earth.

I’m not a fan of ring B, but I LOVE the pave wedding band… it looks great with your e-ring.
^and to elaborate, I think the pave band looks better, because it’s just as “sparkly” as your e-ring, you know what I mean? The other band is definitely unique, but I think it does look a bit dull compared to the pave band. But maybe that’s just the picture.
Good luck with whatever you decide! And I love your e-ring, by the way. 🙂

@blondee- thanks! thats pretty much exactly what i’m thinking too. I actually like band b (the unique one) better, but with my e-ring, I’m thinking A is the way to go. Still not 100% yet because I’m a terrible decision-maker… but I think thats how it’ll shake out 🙂
Post # 44
i really like the second option better, but I am very partial to eternity bands
Post # 45
I made a decision!
I love love love the bezel set eternity band…. but ultimately it just didn’t fit with my ring. I wasn’t bothered by the fact that they “didn’t match” in a conceptual sense… but the sparkle factor was just so different that they looked funny together in person. So, off to bluenile it goes (with a hint hint to Fiance that he could get me a similar ring with maybe some gemstones? for a future holiday or anniversary!), and I have my official set! Yay!

I’ve been waiting for this update!! Oh you were so right Corgi, it IS still different enough to not be matchy-matchy (couldn’t quite tell from the original pics). I like that. Your new set looks fantastic!! And you are a lovely ring pornographer! 🙂
