Ahhh!! So I am sitting here at work and I get an email from my wedding coodinator, who is employed by our wedding venue, which says she is moving on to another job and that her last day is Thursday. Less than four weeks before our wedding, I don’t think so!! This woman is the keeper of all of my wants and needs and has been there for me for the past year or so. I can’t believe that this is happening. Supposedly the woman replacing her is great too, but she hasn’t been there and she doesn’t know everything that has been discussed.
I was literally just sitting here admiring how I am not really all that stressed, which I definitely thought I would be at this stage of the game. However, now I am brimming with stress. Ugh, why now, why couldn’t you have left Oct. 11th…

OMG! I’m so sorry for you, this can’t be good. But maybe you can call her ans ask her to set a meeting or soemthing with you and the new coordinator, to get all the points of the wedding clear. Let her know this is a big deal for you and you will appreciate if she stays in touch during this last stage os the planning. I’m guessing she would accept, I mean if you had worked with her for the past year or so a bond has been growing on there somewhere rigth?
Maybe she will be nice I help you and the new coordinator to make your wedding just like you wanted, and who knows? Meybe this new coordinator brings new ideas to make your special day even better!

Setup a meeting with the new coordinator asap and bring your thoughts/ideas/vision with you- written down and every detail spelled out. Every single piece of your day that you want, write it down.

*Hugs* This happened to us too. Our reception venue called the weekend before our wedding to tell us our coordinator had left. Our coordinator didn’t even tell us himself. Needless to say, we freaked out. But we set up a meeting with the new coordinator for the next day and brought along all the details, timeline, etc. and went over it. I felt a lot better after meeting with them. The day of the wedding, everything went great. I totally agree with PP- meet with them and go over all the details. Good luck!

Yes, I will definitely set up a meeting ASAP. There were still things that were in the works with the first coordinator and now I am worried that things just won’t get done in time and we won’t be on the same page. I just feel like there is no time…hopefully everything will work out!!
