Anyone have a good youtube video on how to lace a corset dress (I’ve been searching myself but can’t find anything) ??
Here is the dress at the salon before I bought it… They sent it directly to me..and there is no way to take it to the store I got it from… I gotta figure this out on my own, and I know it wont be too hard, just gotta figure it out!
Also, the bottom sticking out in my photo (tied in a bow) was an oversight, they tucked it in after we took photos.

Maybe you can take it to a bridal shop (or call one?) and they can do it for you.

Thanks. I’m trying to avoid taking it somewhere because I imagine it’s pretty easy (once I figure it out)

You start at the utopian and work your way down making sure the laces are even on each side when you begin. Lace it the same way you would shoelaces if that maks sense

I think there are lots of youtube videos about how to lace it properly.
The gals at my bridal shop started at the top and laced down, pausing to tighten here and there. The bow should be tucked in after.

Hey dress twin! Question–are you just trying to lace it up to see how it looks or are you trying to put it on by yourself?
If you’re just lacing it up while it’s on the hanger, start at the top and lace it like you would a tennis shoe. If you want to put it on and lace it up by yourself, that’s a little trickier–basically you have to lace it only halfway, keeping the laces super loose, then put it on, and gradually tighten/lace up the rest of it.

@bellasperanza: Dress twinssssssss! Thank you. Your post was most helpful! I tried to lace it up all the way to see how it looked…then tried to put it on (omg – had a freak out moment because it wouldn’t fit duh… cant put it on already laced up!) then unlaced it again, then put it on, then tried to lace it while it was on…. It was rather comical. I *think* I have it figured out tho – had to enlist the help of another once it was already on.
