I finally got my invitations done and sent out the other day. It’s a Destination Wedding so RSVPs are needed back early especially since it is Christmas time.
Anyone that hasn’t seen my dress posts….my dress is deep purple. My Fiance and I met each other onstage and are very untraditional. We attend a lot of renfests, pirate days, theatre groups, etc.
So being ‘different’ as we are we chose to do a Steampunk wedding. For anyone that isn’t sure what that is think of what the Victorian era would have thought the future would look like…Jules Verne-esque with Victorian clothing…top hats…corsets…gears…goggles…
We wanted invitations to ‘fit’ so here they are! (I’ll post more pictures in succeeding posts. Details are blocked out)

I hand inked all the edges of the card stock and envelopes. I bleach stamped (and got a little high doing it!) the pocket folders with some Steampunk stamps as well as stamped the flaps on the envelopes.
We were originally going to have them done at the printer but since we needed a new printer we decided to splurge on one and print them ourselves!
The wax seal we also made ourselves by gluing a gear to a handle. Add the peacock feather…which is our wedding colours…and there it is!
I’m so happy with how they turned out!

I love them! I feel like your wedding is going to be so fun! Any updates on your dress? I saw the original idea. And it looks incredible.
Eta: I read the small print, LOVE the bottom of your actual invite page.

@wifey2be: See the post above…it was a labour of love. 🙂
The PDF file we bought from an Etsy seller. She was amazing! Her list on Etsy is small but she will make custom stuff too. Check out lovedovecreations

@chasesgirl: Update on the dress will be soon! She is so busy right now with all the weddings happening but wants me to come in in the next few weeks. I can’t wait! In the meantime I’m keeping busy with other things like this…
Bouquets are next!

@chasesgirl: I love the whole wording of them…but especially the small print at the bottom! We just want to have a FUN wedding.
I spent too many years in a miserable abusive marriage but I’m getting back to the REAL ME!
One of the best things about my Fiance is how much he makes me laugh…that was missing for too long!
