@Miss Hearty: Ours Is Feb 25, 2012.  And yes I get asked why get married in Feb. all the time.  I live in Texas and Feb is not a popular month but its still fairly warm.  Im happy with it!

I have an easy explanation… it’s the weekend of our 7 year dating anniversary. =)

My cousin had his wedding on Sweetest Day (like Valentines Day in my area). I don’t think too many people asked, but it was because he had proposed that day. But I was kinda ticked because they didn’t invite plus ones, my Fiance had to stay home – which is a pretty crappy thing to do when you choose a romantic holiday for your (out of state) wedding date.

Oh my goodness, I have the same issue with my date, but it’s not in February.  Every time I tell someone it’s October 1, everyone says, “Ohhhh nice!  So you’re having a fall themed wedding then?  Maple leaves, pumpkins, orange and brown, right?!?”  NO.  Just because it’s in a particular month/season, it doesn’t mean that was necessarily your goal to have that particular theme.  I hate that!  It has actually made me anti-seasonal with the wedding…lol

Our wedding was February 12, 2011 and was NOT Valentine’s themed. In AZ February is actually a gorgeous time of year. Well our reason for getting married in Feb. was we met February 2006, he proposed Valentine’s Day 2010 and then it seemed that marrying February would work for us. Our lucky month I guess! 🙂 But it was a bit annoying when people would mention Valentine’s weekend but it ended up not being an issue.

Mine is Feb. 11th too! In Nashville, TN, and YES I’ve been told “how romantic” it will be close to Valentines. Which was not my intention at all. We had to pick Feb. because my Fiance is a baseball coach, and that way our wedding will be before the season starts. I’m in the wedding industry, so we can;t get married in the summer/fall either. We thought about Feb 4th, but that is super bowl weekend, so that was a no go.

Original date was October 1 but we had to move it out. We are getting married 4-2-12 now. Not very popular in Georgia! I am keeping my original colors of black and white with a touch of red. It was not meant for Vday but for UGA colors! Oh well.

My wedding is 2-18-2012 and in no way related to Valentines Day!  I have even made it a point to not include the color red in any of my wedding decor…My question is what colors would be good for a Feb wedding in Georgia?

My wedding is Feb. 4 and valentines day never even entered my mind until I got a quote on roses! I wanted a winter wedding, but december is too crazy, january people are still recouperating from holidays and march can be gross! So Feb it is! However I guess my wedding might come off as valentinesy… we are doing plum and red  with rose petals, candles, two lit fireplaces, it’s at a pioneer village…. but i want a warm, romantic feel without any silver/blue or snowflakes!
