- Wedding: May 2013
I went to my future in-laws last night and finally got to pick-up my wedding jewelry. My Future Mother-In-Law made all of the jewelry for the wedding — my bridesmaids and mine. The only piece she didn’t make was the headpiece that I found at a local shop here in Chicago. And I bedazzled my own shoes. 🙂
I am so excited with everything that I have to share it with you. It is all beautiful, and so unique that I know I couldn’t have bought anything like it. It was a yearlong process to get to this point, but it was worth it!
So, here’s my bridal jewelry all together:
And on me:
The bridesmaid jewelry sets are all a little different from each other, but basically the same. Here’s one set:
And me modeling:
I have to say, I never expected to be such a blingy bride. I guess the whole “less is more” thing is just not the bride I am … at least not when it comes to accessories. I’m justifying it by reminding myself that my dress doesn’t have any sparkle … I had to make up for it somehow!
I’m going to be picking up my dress on May 2nd, and my veil (which I downgraded from blingy cap veil to a plain cut edge comb veil because I do have some sense of how much is too much) will be done by then — so just a little over a week before I get to see it all put together!
