My husband and I got all of our rings at Kays. The ring I loved that actually matched my engagement ring has diamonds going about halfway down on each side. It’s really sparkly and I love it, I’m even adding a second one for on top of my engagement ring at our actual wedding ceremony.
But anyways…the ring my husband picked out is one of those like indestructable ones that wont scratch or chip or anything. I forget what they are called. He says it’s manly 😉 He wanted one of those because he does a lot of work with his hands, and he’s a Marine so (sadly) he deploys to afghanistan and does a lot of training and stuff in the field for work. So he wanted that ring that cant be scratched or anything.
So his ring actually cost almost $200 more than mine did…we always joke about it because mine’s the one with the diamonds on it 😛 All my friends whos husbands work with mine got their husbands rings for under $100. One of them is already on his second ring. My hubby better not lose this one or he’s in trouble and he’ll be getting a new one for like 20 bucks LOL good thing he never ever takes it off!
Even though since I will be getting a second one, we will have spent more since I got two, did anyone else end up spending more on the man’s ring?

DH’s wedding band cost more than double mine (he wanted platinum and I got white gold to match my e-ring) … it kind of irks me that he got platinum and I didn’t… but I don’t think about it for very long. 🙂

Yes because mine is a smaller, thinner version of his! Less platinum used to make mine!

I got a white gold ring with channel set diamonds for about 350. Hubby got his hammered white gold for about 450$ I now get to tease him about his expensive taste!

Yup, my ring was $288 and his was $600. I didn’t want to be too blingy. haha, yeah, I’m probably the only one.
There was a wedding band for the same price and it had more diamonds but I thought it was too many diamonds. I turned it down. Sales woman was confused.
His was also more expensive because he choose a ring that had some weight to it. There was one that was lighter and cheaper. I know I wouldn’t want to ring that was too heavy.

YUP! My temporary wedding band is just a silver band from Overstock.com that was like $20 and my husbands wedding band is white gold that was about $250 in Ocho Rios, Jamaica
I will get an upgrade sometime in the future but I just wanted a simple band for now because I didnt want to spend a lot of money!

Yup ours also! FI’s cost more than double mine, his is white and yellow gold and carved, mine is a plain gold band.

Just like BanditGirl said mine is a smaller thinner version of his so his was a lot more than mine.

It probably will be. The ring I’m looking at is about $80, but I expect he’ll want something more than a gold band. 🙂

Yep. I got a very nice wrap that was normally 2k but it was specially made for someone else as a special order so I got it for $800!!! I love it and I cried when I put it on. My Fiance wanted something very particular and it cost $1300 so his is more and I’m perfectly fine with it.

Yup. By $150. His is titanium; mine is white gold.

Yes. Mine was $250 and his was $400.

I haven’t bought them yet, but I know his is going to be more because he’s really digging the two-tone look or maybe some white gold with diamonds.
I don’t really care though, since I already have my e-ring – I get two rings & he only gets one, so it works out to be about equal. I’ve decided for my band I’m going to go super simple and have it white gold, with alternating moissanite & amethyst stones in order to compensate for his tastes.
Really, the most important thing is that he’s wearing one! Ha!

@shelbyfk: If it was one of the metals that you can’t break, it probably should have been CHEAPER than your ring. It’s the precious metals that are the most expensive. Did you shop around online? WHen we went to Kays and a couple other chain stores to see what we liked/get sizd, we found the markup to be outrageous. We ended up getting a custom ring for each of us online for much less.

@shelbyfk:My husband is a marine, too and he got an indestructible one, too. I bought his at the mall. He bought mine at a the Navy Exchange. Mine is plain, thin 14k gold, no diamonds, no gems, no engravings. His was definitely more expensive.
