Originally, we thought our wedding was going to be in March of 2012, but we had to move the wedding up to February due to the month of March being during Lent next year. At first, I wanted a color palette of blue, pink, and green in order to give the wedding a beautiful spring feel. However, now that it is in February I have changed my mind! Now I’m thinking that having a palette with charcoal gray, ivory, and hints of dusty rose and light peach would look great! However, I am a little worried that it is too Springy for a February wedding.
I have included some pictures that have really inspired me 🙂
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE these dusty roses!!
So what do you guys think?? Is this theme have too much of a Spring feel for February?!?!

First off I think it’s perfect for a february wedding. Second, it shouldn’t matter. Do what you want

@MissHobbit: I second this!
plus, the colors look more “vintage” than “spring” to me. spring is more pastel or bright, vivid colors (think spring flowers or easter colors).
besides, it’s your wedding, do what you want! 😀

@FutureMrsCowboy: Not at all!! I think as long as you keep it at those light subtle “dusty ” shades of pink, blue, and maybe purple it will look wonderful.
When I think of spring colors I think of pastel easter egg colors.

I think it’s perfect for February. It does scream vintage rather than Spring but it’s also like an introduction to spring, you know, when you notice the sky might be a bit bluer, or maybe buds on the trees (at least here in the south), things like that.

I think it’s absolutely perfect!

Thank you! You guys have made me feel better! I am now a little worried that these colors won’t go well with the place that the reception is going to be in. The colors work great in the church because the pew cushions are kind of a pink-peach and there is salmon colored marble and gold organs at the front of the church (doesn’t sound too pretty, but the church is GORGEOUS). The reception hall has huge brown rafters at the ceiling and the carpet has light red, green, dark brown, and beige. I’m worried that having the grays and blacks would clash….this stuff stresses me out!!!

I love those inspiration pics!! Very pretty colours. Do you have a picture of your venue?

I don’t have a pic of the venue. It’s at my family’s church. It is a Catholic Church with very high ceilings and goldish-salmon colored marble around the alter and steps. It is very very very pretty 🙂
