I took a hiatus from these boards soon after my daughter was born but I recently became active again. I just got a little nostalgic when I realized how long I’ve been on this site and how much great advice I’ve received from your fellow bees over the years and my many milestones 🙂
I started posting shortly after we got engaged then when we got a puppy, when I started wedding planning, when we moved to a new city, after the wedding, when we started looking for our forever home, when we started TTC, when I found out I was pregnant and most recently in the baby boards since I now have a 4 month old!
So I just wanted to say a big thank you to the bees who’ve made this forum such a welcoming, supportive place. It’s nice to be able to come here to vent, share and ask questions that you can’t in real life!

rittenhousenewbee: welcome back! Congrats on your 4 month old, how cool:-)
I can’t even remember how long I’ve been here… Since 2011 I guess, and posting a year after that or so. It is a great community for women. I work around mostly men and sometimes I want to scream — so it’s great to get my chick fix here!

I’m kind of in the same boat. I work in a pretty large office but while our admin and support staff is 100% women, most of my peers are men. While their brutal honesty and lack of drama is very much welcomed most of the time, they’re not my target audience when I wanted advice on which dress to wear as a pregnant wedding guest or how to deal with random BS!

rittenhousenewbee: haha yes! I enjoy working with them and they are all mostly great people, but there are a lot power plays all day long that I have to beat back down or ignore, which gets tiring, plus they are not so good at nail polish colors.
