so i have been working out like a mad woman the past three days! i started at a new gym with fi and i love it… but darn my body doesnt love it as much as my mind does!!! my whole body hurts right now and i just feel like sleeping!!!
i ran 1.5 miles on the track today and did three miles on the elliptical (hills!)… and i also did arms and abs…. ouchie!
on the plus side i think i have lost 2 lbs!! woot! 🙂
i figure if i just keep going it will stop hurting…. i hope…. :/

Good job–that’s a lot of working out for one day!
I started getting serious about exercise back in January and according to my Fiance, if you continue to push yourself (like, doing heavier weights and more reps) you’ll keep getting leaner/stronger, but it doesn’t stop hurting 🙁 I just try to warm up at an easy/moderate pace and stretch all my muscles after each workout, and it definitely makes a difference in preventing soreness. All the pain is gonna be worth it when you get your wedding pics!

Make sure you stretch and eat a lot of protein.

I love the burn, myself! WHen i work out alot i dont really feel satisfied unless i hurt the next day. That sounds like heaps for one day though – make sure you don’t overdo it and injure yourself!

It will stop hurting after a couple weeks. You won’t be able to make continual gains in lifting–at some point you’re going to hit failure and then your muscles will be able to adapt. Stretching is the #1 fix for soreness.

@stephanie63087: What I usually do after a really tough workout is pop 2 advil before bed and I feel good as new the next day.
