@MsBlackberry:  Is it too late to adjust your BC so you change the date of your period? If so.. is a light tampon too much for you at the end of your period? Because that would solve a lot of problems.

Just start the active pills again (skip the placebo). You should skip your period. It’s fine to do that

Ask your doctor for Premarin or Progera (I forget which one it is). My boss is an MD and he told  me he’d get me a weeks worth for my wedding so there is NO chance I’ll be on ny period. Or you can pick up your next pill pack early and instead of taking your placebo pills, you can just start right in to your next pack.

ETA: I mentioned starting my new pill pack early, and he said I could still spot, but if I do the other (premarin or progera) I will definitely not have any issues

When it comes to the end of the month where your pills go from say 3 weeks of red and then 1 week of white.  When it comes time to take the white switch to the next month of red.  It’s very safe to do so.  I checked with my doctor last year.  You shouldn’t spot, but come time for the wedding day and you notice you’re spotting you can use a JR lites tampon so that you can still pee and not have to wear undies because of your flap! 😀

@MsBlackberry:  Skip the placebo week.

Then, if ALL of your pills are the same color/dosage, just start up with your next pack.

If, however you have different color/dosage pills, start backwards from your next pack.  So for this pack you started with week 1, then took week 2, then took week 3.  Your next pack, take week 3, then 2, then 1.  This way, the hormones mimic the natural cycle better than going from high hormone dosage to low if you did week 1, week 2, week 3, week 1, week 2, week 3.

@MsBlackberry:  You’re on the pill – this should not be an issue. Just schedule your period like a lot of women do.

I never have my period for vacations or anything like that.

I just skip the placebos and take packs back to back. I can do two packs back to back. Three packs and I get spotting.

You don’t need a period when you’re on the pill. It’s not an actual period… it’s a ‘withdrawal bleed’.

This is why I went on the pill, in order to control my period around my wedding week/honeymoon. (Also to not get pregnant while engaged, amiright??)

You shouldn’t be extra hormonal, but everyone’s different.  I tend to skip the bloating and such when I do decide to skip the last week, but like I said everyone’s different.  I would call your doctor if you are comfortable asking him/her questions.

@caits615:  LOL Weddingbee boards need a like button.  Although call me baby crazy but I almost can’t wait the year for that to happen.

@MsBlackberry:  Also, would skipping your period week in the pack get rid of the PMS type symptoms? Like the bloating and such? Would I be extra crazy hormonal for messing with the pill like that?

Yes, no PMS symptoms, you’re just going onto another pack… continuing it basically. Not hormonal at all. This is what brands such as Seasonale do, they just don’t have placebo pills.

Girl, get on the depo ASAP! That shot made my period GO AWAY and it is 100% safe. It keeps the lining of the uterus VERY thin so there is nothing to clean out and nothing for an egg to stick too so no period and no babies 🙂 Lasts for 3 months.
