Hey bees, my Darling Husband and I are planning a pre-baby vacation to Myrtle Beach and are looking for some hotel recommendations. We’ll be going next month, towards the end of March, so indoor/heated pools are a plus. I’d prefer something beachfront within walking distance to at least some of the local attractions. Any suggestions from someone who’s stayed someplace nice there or is familiar with the area? There’s so many choices it’s overwhelming me!

We stayed at the Breakers a few years ago and really liked it. It was on the beach, and not expensive. Although you’ll be going at prime spring break time so they prob jack up the prices.

@Robin_Sparkles: I’ll have to check that one out, I’ve seen it recommended a few places…we’re going the 16th through the 19th so I know there will be some Spring Breakers, I’m okay with that though it seems to not start affecting hotel prices too uch till the week after that when Easter is, and we got a great deal on the flight.
Any other suggestions?

I’ve never stayed in Myrtle Beach. I always stay at Ocean Isle Beach Inn and drive to Myrtle for a day trip just because it’s quiet and the beach is generally nicer. I also prefer to just go to the beach as my form of entertainment and Fiance likes to fish. My favortie place to eat in Myrtle Beach is the Noizy Oyster. We always get their steam pot for two. It has a dive bar feel to it but the food is great.
My little sister and her Fiance like to stay at the Bay View Resort.
Edit: I just remembered the reason we stay in NC though – Fiance likes to fish and simply adds on a coastal fishing license to his NC license. Sorry that I’m not that helpful!
