@kchitw00: Hello there! I am getting married the day after you, in Myrtle Beach. We always stay at The Breakers Resort in North Myrtle. It’s close to everything…shopping, watersports, the boardwalk. It’s one mile from Broadway at the beach which has just about everything! There’s a starbucks, fine dining restaurant and a pizza joint right across ocean boulevard from the resort where we always walk to get dinner or our morning coffee. The prices are very competitive and the staff is great. We love it there, won’t go anywhere else.

Hope this helps!
PS-Stay away from The Caravelle…we stayed there a few years ago and there was mold in the rooms, the lock on the door was broken and the phone didn’t work. It was dirty…ugh. Just to let ya know!

The Breakers is always good. We stay there at least once a year. You’re safe there and in a good location to everything!

We always stay at the Caribbean or the Patricia Grand and never have had any problems. I love it down there! I’ve also stayed at Boardwalk. I remember the big fountain in the front of the hotel.

Regardless of where you stay, make sure you drive to Murrell’s Inlet for Seafood!!!
I recommend Drunken Jack’s or for a more casual environment, The Dead Dog has great food, on the water, live music/dancing each night with the boardwalk on the inlet.

Go to North Myrtle… its a lot nicer .. it makes the drive to broadway at the beach 30-45 minutes with traffic but its well worth it! We have a timeshare and always stay at Ocean Boulevard which is wonderful! There is a little condo I have rented thats very adorable and homey feeling … I can get you the name of it if you would like. Also, theirs a hotel with an amazing little tiki bar .. the hotel ijust went under new management but the website is http://compasscove.com/amenities/tiki-hut
