Definitely stop at the visitor’s center and get some coupons.  You can get good deals on restaurants and things like water parks.  Also, if it’s still there, one of the best restaurants at Broadway at the Beach is Key West Grill (or at least it was when I went there last) while Margaritaville has been hit or miss.  The Ripley’s Aquarium is pretty nice too if you have the money plus there are TONS of mini golf places in Myrtle Beach that can be a lot of fun although some are VERY crowded.  The one we usually go to is Mount Atlanticus but it is one of those that can be very crowded. Barefoot Landing is another area in Myrtle Beach that is great for shopping and eating (Dick’s Last Resort isn’t romantic but can be fun – you sit with other people usually and they can be kind of crude but if that’s your thing it’s fun and cheap).  Also, on a lot of beaches at night there are usually fireworks. Hopefully this helps a little at least considering most of my knowledge is from family trips, not really romantic vacations.

If you can, go down to Charleston for a day.

@almostmrsrjc: I’ve never really gone to a romantic restaurant in Myrtle Beach but in Charleston if you want something a little nicer you could go to Magnolia’s which is where we had our dinner reception, it was delicious!
