I am having the worst time finding a specific dress to try on, and it is driving me insane! Has anyone else tried to track down a dress in vain?
Two weekends ago, I tried on the St. Patrick Argelia – I loved it, except it didn’t have a sweetheart neckline, and it has a sash (which my mom isn’t crazy about). But the neckline could be changed a bit, and we might just have to change the sash. So then I went online to stalk it, naturally. Lo and behold, another dress, the Argel, looked somewhat similar, but no sash, and a perfect sweetheart neckline! It is incredibly hard to tell from the pictures if the waist hits in the same spot, though. I keep thinking yes, the bridal gown shop is telling me no.
Anyway, I then contacted the shop to ask if they had that dress so I could try it on – no dice. I’ve since called the other 3 shops in Washington State listed on the St. Patrick site, and none of them have it either. I’m starting to wonder if it exists.
Isn’t there some way the shop can obtain one for me? Like, a loaner program? Another shop offered to do this, but I’m feeling loyal to the first shop. All I want is to try the sucker on, and then I’ll either pick that or the Argelia at this point! Ugh! I’m considering calling all the bridal shops in Oregon and California too and roadtripping it…
