tay.g:  Anything Sally Hansen! I love the nail stuff from them. Right now it’s Sally Hansen Maximum Growth polish. I’ve been a long time nail biter (just stopped a few years ago) and I already have weak thin brittle nails on top of that. So thier products really help me. They harden your nails right up and it adds a nice shine on plain nails.

I’ve heard good things about Biotin was well, but I didn’t see a difference when I took it.

I know lots about nails! What are your nails like now? The best treatment for them will depend on whether they are soft, brittle, peeling, dry, etc.

halfling:  Agree love all Sally Hansen products! They have such a good range for all nail types! I have weak, nails that sometimes peel 🙁 I use the base coat strengthener, and the diamond top coat is amazing and really makes your nails shine.. once someone asked if my nails were professionally done, i was pleased as punch.. saves some money on going to a technician every couple of weeks 😉

ohh and the ‘speedi dry top coat’ is great for home mani’s.. thinking i’ll be popping to the chemist on lunch, new colours are needed!

tay.g:  Another vote for Sally Hansen. Also, don’t use them to open pop cans or scrape stickers off or anything. “Jewels not tools” 🙂 Use a butter knife or whatever else works. Don’t chew your polish off or use pure acetone, always use a strengthening remover made for natural nails. I use rubber gloves when I do any wet cleaning like dishes.

I take prenatal vitamins. My nails seem stronger. If I weren’t so rough with my nails they probably would stay longer….theydefinitely still break but only when I’m doing yard work or anything rough. I also started taking biotin, but I’m not sure that it’s doing anything. I do use Sally Hansen as well.
