I am whiter than a ghost right now but when I tan I am pretty olive skinned. I usually like reds, bright pinks… or black! Love a shiney black. It seemed to goth when I was young but I find it fits with everything. Doesn’t help much on nude options because I don’t think nude looks good at all on me. Maybe a pearl would work though.

I have medium olive skin tone and you have to find shades with the correct undertone. I’m wearing Topless and Barefoot by Essie for my wedding. I bought a bunch of different nude/white nail colors and tried them all on and this one looked best.

I don’t let my skin discourage me from nearly any color.  I wear all the colors because they all look great!  Right now I’m wearing a pastel mint green.  Before this, I had them an amazing fire engine red (which would look great on anyone).  The only color that I feel kind of iffy about is purple.  I feel like purple doesn’t go very weel with my skin.  I LOVE pastels and neons in the spring and summer!!! On medium olive tan skin, they’re AWESOME!

ETA:  Okay, I hadn’t actually read the part about the wedding color before commenting lol I just love nail polish and went wayyyy into this in the wrong direction.  I think a milky white-ish with a champagne shimmer would look great.  If you go full champagne, y ou may look washed out.

alfalfasprout10518 :  Olive skinned also; nude nail colors look terrible on me. However, I find that a neutral such as Sally Hansen Color Therapy Namas-Grey does work well:

I’m a big fan of Zoya nail polish.  Their website shows the polish on three different skin tones and tells you up front if it is cool, warm, or neutral and the opacity.   They have a pretty decent social media following where nearly every color on their site usually has at least 3-4 people posting pics of their nails with that color so you can see it on different skin tones and different lighting.  A few colors have been a little thick and hard to apply.  But I would say 95% of the polish I have gotten applies like a dream.

I’m olive toned, and I always like a nice neutral mauve shade on my nails.

I second mauve as well, especially a deep rich mauve.

Ignore the horrible paint job, slapped it on to see color today after my Target run, and its the perfect pink ive been searching for.  Im olive toned, but kinda on pale side right now.  Neutrals look horrible w my skin tone. I usially do mauve and berries.  This is Essie Minimalist if you like.

I absolutely love this Essie’s “High Class Affair” color! This photo was taken when I was pretty tan but this was the first pale pink that I actually liked on my olive skin tone.  Definitely a must-try!
