What color did you have on your nails on your wedding day? I have acrylic nails because mine won’t grow and I get them redone every other week. What color should I get for my elopement next week? My nail girl has basically every OPI and Essie color you can imagine.

With the exception of right around the holidays (when I do a burgundy color) and maybe one week in high summer (when I do a hot pink or a coral), I pretty much never stray from nude to light pink territory. My go-tos are Essie “Ballet Slippers”, OPI “Bubble Bath”, OPI “Mimosas for the Mr. and Mrs”, and Essie Gel Couture “Fairy Tailor”

Do you want your nails to stand out or blend in? I wanted something low key and opted for a light, shimmery pink. It was the same color I was wearing when my husband proposed and I still wear it often! It’s not the exact shade, but OPI Pedal Faster, Suzi is similar.

I think Ballet Slippers is what the Queen uses. I don’t think you can go wrong with it!

I don’t remember which color I picked. I took this pic after I got my nails done before the wedding.

I’d like something more traditional and classy, so I’d say blending in!
I pretty much wear dark red or plum from September-March and then start to lighten up in springtime. Right now I have a pale pink on. In the summer, I will go brighter pink or coral.

CND Romantique! It’s similar to OPI Bubble Bath, but I like it better for whatever reason.

I did a dark red/plum colour for my summer wedding nails 🙂

90% of the time my nails are some sort of dark red-brown (think Chanel’s Vamp). Sometimes it’s more red, sometimes more brown/neutral. Occasionally something like teal blue or emerald green.
I tried a light pink (Ballet Slippers, in fact) to see if I’d like it as an option for the wedding and while ti was pretty, I just didn’t feel like myself. I’ll likely stick with my usual nail color for the wedding.

I’m going for a bold dark green

This skews a little from traditional pale pink/French manicure (but if you are used to bright or dark colors then this is pretty close to traditional but still has a twist to be interesting), but I’m really loving Zoya Brighton these days. It looks like a standard nude/neutral from a distance but with holographic glitter to give it some depth and shine in the sun or close up. It isn’t a true gritty glitter – just very fine holo. I got a crazy number of compliments wearing it a few weeks ago.
ETA They also are having their nail polish exchange sale right now, meaning all of their polish is 50% off right now, even if you don’t mail them your old polish.

I love these nude-ish mauve shades for subtle but pretty nails! I had a similar colour for my wedding last august, but I don’t remember which one.

I’ve got emerald green for my toe nails (our wedding colours are emerald green, cream and gold) – I want really thinking about it, but I now have peep toe shoes so I thought it would at least go!
My plan is to go with something quite neutral on my hands, but I might have my ring finger nails gold. Partly due fun, partly after my Christmas manicure, the new Salon I went to wrecked my nails, and the ring finger nails are both still suffering way more than the others!

I had dark, short nails. Dark dark dark red polish.
