My wedding is Friday (YAY!) and I got my manicure today. I didn’t have any ideas going in, I was open to the woman’s suggestions. We settled on a very pretty dove grey – and I loved it until I go home and put my hand next to the dress. I don’t know what I was thinking – the dress is a warm white/ivory and my cool grey nails look horrible with it! I texted the technician and she said she can change the colour tomorrow – bees, what should I do? I’m going to a beauty supply in the morning to pick out the right shade – please help! Any suggestions are welcome! No real colour theme, flowers are white/green, dress is warm white, groom is in black suit.

My fav colour is a nude-ish colour called Field Fox by the CND Shellac brand – it’s neutral and goes with anything 🙂

I’d go with a nice gold color…

How about a really dark colour? I think a dark red, burgundy or even a really dark brown- almost black looks really good in autumn and winter.

Mine were milky ivory with rose gold tips 🙂

I would probably go dark, especially this time of year. A nice deep red would look nice. How are you doing your face makeup?
These are my current nails and the kind of red I’m thinking of:

I love nude nails, but I would be careful because they can look a little corpse-y in the winter time.
White nails, to me, are very classic but since your dress is ivory you could always go with Tuck It In My Tux – It’s from the Essie winter 2014 collection. Or, if it doesn’t clash with your colors, I think light brown/mocha is super pretty.
And I totally agree with PPs that a deep red is always a hit!

I haven’t found the one I am going to use yet, but I plan on going with a bright/dark pink.

I never considered a deep red, but I’m really liking that! In my head I figured I’d do a nude/pearl colour, and the soft grey seemed to go with that palette. But perhaps the deep red is the way to go! I hate having to remove this colour, it’s very nice, but totally clashing. Luckily I have enough time to fix this!

A beautiful deep berry would be divine! And how about adding a little sparkle on an accent nail like the picture above? Perfect time of year for it!
