@AnnieAAA: OPI has a new colour in their San Francisco collection called “Peace, Love & OPI.” The colour changes in the light. You should definitely check that one out. I’m adding it to my fall rotation.

I think this color is beautiful, and it’s more maroon so still work-appropriate. The nail length is also my ‘ideal’ length- not too short but not long.

I wore a lot of OPI Lincoln Park After Dark when I worked full time in a corporate setting. It’s a dark, dark reddish maroon and I wear it all fall!

light purple, taupe, and grey are all colors that now seem to be accepted professionally in corporate environments that aren’t super-conservative.

I work from home but have to go to a lot of events, so I have to put thought into the nail color before the events… if I know most of the people there, like it’s a regular meeting I frequently go to, I wear whatever, but if it’s with new people, I go with professionally-accepted nail colors.

I don’t do nail art except when I’m super bored… I think 99% of the time nail art is unprofessional, with the two exceptions being french manicures or basic polka-dots (which are still better on your toes than hands).

Swing Velvet

That was fun!

Eh I work in corporate world and no one cares what colors the nails are. I have worn purple to pinks to blues to greens.  My higher up boss has worn some funky colors herself.  No one cares here long as they nails are not really, really long.

I wear whatever I want on my nails including neon’s. As long as they look nice. If my nail polish is looking haggard and I don’t have time to paint I go bare rather than chipped and messy.

ETA: I should add, we are in a business casual environment. I probably would not wear the neon’s or super bright colors if it a) weren’t summer or b) if I wore suits every day

I’m a teacher, so not corporate, but I wear whatever color I want to! I teach high school so I can get away with more colors than an elementary school teacher, I think. I agree w/PP, I keep my nails extremely short and I stick with gel manicures bc then my nails are always shiny and chip-free. I’ve done jet black, bright oranges, pink…I think royal blue is next 😉

@WhatMaeBee:  as an elementary school teacher, we wear just as funky of nails!

I agree with most here.  N keep it neat, short, and not crazy neon or patterns!

I think you’re safe with the majority of solid colors if your nails are neatly kept. Be mindful that trendy won’t come off as professional in many cases.

I think it’s acceptable to wear any colour as long as it’s subtle, whether that is light colours or dark colours – no hot pink or fluoro yellow etc.
