Hi Bees! I am looking for some feedback. I have purchased a dress which is soft ivory lace over champagne satin. It is very vintage looking and I am in love with it because it will go perfect with our rustic ceremony site.
However, now that I have found my dress, I keep finding myself being turned off by ‘stark white’ because I think the contast is to harsh with my more natural color scheme. I always figured I would get a french manicure for the wedding, but now I am thinking I won’t like it. Any reccommendations on nail polish colors? Taupe or a sheer pink? My bridesmaid dress are navy and my Jr. Bridesmaid dresses are Wisteria (lilac purple).

I think the more simple the better. So maybe like a really like peach or pink that will give you a touch of color, but won’t be overwhelming.

You can still do a french manicure style, just use different colors, like champagne and off white. or get a regular french manicure and have a sheer champagne put over the top.

I agree with Vegas Pug. I am partial to a french manicure, and you could easily have them customize it to colors that will compliment your dress.
If not, then just go with a natural shade like peachy pink or champagne.

I had a champagne/ivory dress too! I was like you in always thinking I’d do white tips for my wedding. I went with a shallac manicure in a pearly pink color that was a bit sheer. My nails looked very nice and it wasn’t quite as severe as a french manicure, which I normally do for formal occasions.

Try a half moon/reverse french manicure? You could do champagne and ivory? or cream, pale pink, etc …
