This post is perfect – I’ve just started thinking about what nail polish I should wear because it might be coming soon! I’ll probably go safe and do Essie ballet slippers or something – I want my ring to take center stage in those post engagement photos ๐Ÿ™‚

Right now, I’m loving me some OPI: In the Spot-Light Pink. It’s so light, but makes my nails just look pretty. Also, when it chips, you can’t even tell until it gets really bad unless you inspect it up close!

@AllieANT:  Thanks so much for posting this-so perfect for me because I never have the time to do my nails so something where the chips don’t show right away is perfect! I have been thinking lately that I should start taking better care of my hands…just in case! Of course I don’t think anything will be happening until December so plenty of time lol!

gray suede by Revlon. I’m obsessed with this colour at the moment! its the perfect nude, but in different lights it can look purple, grey, pink or sparkly.

I’ve been doing French gels for over 11 years now (never had luck will colored gels in the past – I found a way to chip it in less than a day).  On my last nail appt., I tried one of the OPI Axxium gels (not in the color I will wear for the wedding), to see if I have any luck with that – so far, it’s over a week, and my color is still there.

So it looks like I wiill go with a pale pink or white “frosted” (is that what they still call it???? that’s what we called in in the 70’s!).  My hands are “big” so my nails follow suit so I keep them relatively short and squared off (or I will break them).

I will be getting them done next Wednesday, for my Sept 22 wedding.

Without the gels, I wouldn’t have nails at all!.

I love a few. Sapphire blue. There is one called Mr. Right and it is a dark dark blue and came with a heart shaped, blue, plastic ring. I saw it and loved it. I also just bought a nice sparkly denuim blue.

I can always go with Ballet Slippers or Sugar Daddy though.

I have two! lol Since I’m expecting a fall proposal, that’s these are the shades I’ll probably be rotating around then.

Parlez-vous OPI? by OPI

Agro by China Glaze

Though I’m sure I’ll end up picking some wine reds during the wait.

I’m not longer waiting, but I knew he was going to propose so I had a chance to choose my polish! I picked Orly Happily Ever After (the name wasn’t intentional, I just personally love the polish!). Orly is one of my fav brands and this polish is from one of my all time favorite collections. I knew I’d want to photograph the ring as soon as I got it, so I wanted to make sure I loved my polish. And I’m a polish nut ๐Ÿ™‚
