Here are some of my favorite colors that I think compliment my ring well!  I got engaged with the very pale pink color, and from the further away shot I think it let the diamond be the focus! πŸ™‚  And congrats about your upcoming engagement, I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you!

My fave pale pink Shellac combos are (1) Strawberry Smoothie under Romantique and (2) Romantique under Beau. Romantique is nice on its own as well, but I like to layer to warm it up a bit.

I had a great shellac mani with OPIs “Dutch Tulips” which is a wonderful red with pink undertones.

Mrs.sinish:  I recently bought the Sally Hansen Gel Polish in Creme de la Creme (pictured), it is a very pale, creamy pink and nice beacuse it doesn’t require a light to cure. I think the neutral colors really allow the ring to shine! πŸ™‚

Mrs.sinish:  The first couple that spring to mind for me are

1. “Ballet Slippers” from Essie: a beautifully neutral, pale pink. I am not usually a pink fan, but I tried this color after hearing tons of great things about it. And I loved it!

2. “Wanderlust” from China Glaze. This is also a pale pink, but it has a very subtle golden shimmer to it. It makes the overall look of the polish very warm and pretty.

If you want to go dark but still kind of “neutral”, one of my favorites is the classic “Lincoln Park After Dark” from OPI. It’s a beautifully rich, dark color that looks nearly black on the nail. If your ring might have a clear stone, black can look really striking next to it.

(Sorry I don’t have pics handy at the moment. My computer crashed, and DH is trying to restore it. So I don’t have access to my pictures at the moment.)
