I used to use this to strengthen my nails. My nails always broke, and this stuff was a miracle product. The downside is that you actually have to use it consistently, and not be lazy. I failed at that. You can get it at any pharmacy.

I also recommend just keeping your nails painted constantly. By keeping paint on the nails and putting this strengthener on as a top coat, your nails should be tough as …nails…by the big day! Something else to consider would be to get a gel manicure, such as a Shellac or Axxium, to allow your nails to grow out again, and then start using the strengthener.

I am trying a product called hoof alive.  It was developed to work on horse’s hooves, but it is supposed to work really great on human nails.  you have to apply it 3-4 times a day but it only costs like 6 or 7 bucks for 3/4 an ounce and that will last forever.

@trueblue39: Date Twins! But, question: where would you get that product? I’ve been taking prenatal vitamins, but I’d like to cover all basis as frequently as possible…

Nail Envy by OPI has worked really well for me.

Not a product recommendation really but my tip is to not buff them until you get them done right before your wedding.  My nails have been ridiculously strong ever since I stopped going to nail salons, and I suspect it’s because buffing them made them thinner and thus weaker. This is just anecdotal, though.

I swear by Miracle.  You can pick it up at Sally’s Supply (hopefully you have one near you).  I use it as a base and top coat and it makes my nails extra strong and they seem to grow faster as well.
