@EmeleeRose:  Thanks so much! I don’t wear reds often. I first got into nail polish when I was a teenager. (Which feels like about a hundred years ago — ha, ha!) My mom was strict about colors, and she would never let me wear red. I think I got into the habit of feeling like it’s a color I “can’t” wear. So I have to try and inch out of that comfort zone from time to time.

@bluecutie00:  Going under budget will probably help with convincing him. I know my hubby always feels happy when a project comes in for less than what we expected. Hopefully the whole project will be a fun and exciting experience for you. I’m already excited for you and can’t wait to see your finished bling on your finger!

I did a bunch of swatching yesterday, so I changed out my manicure this morning. And I’m back to giving my original e-ring some love.

I just did my nails today, and I am crazy about this hot pink. Though I’m thinking it could use a holo top coat to jazz it up a bit!

@EmeleeRose:  Awww! Thanks so much for your kind words. I will probably put that to the test later today, as I have a bright, shimmery yellow I want to try for my next manicure. LOL

Sadly, my daughter was never that into nail polish. She’s 16 now, but she would let me paint her nails when she was younger. Always a pink or purple, which were her favorite colors. There’s nothing wrong with thinking or having a gut feeling that some colors are more adult. I think it’s a pretty common feeling. If I wore a red, my mom would mention how I was looking for too much attention in the wrong way, etc. So that’s probably where my complex comes from. LOL
