Can he mail them to you? Lots of insurance and a tracking number?

I would definitely want my actual wedding band for the wedding!  I second maisymay–look into ways to ship them with insurance and tracking numbers.  It’s super fab that your uncle is making your rings.  I’d love to see pictures!

If you know what size you need, I’d recommend sending it to him soon so you can get it all done at once.

You could also ask him about whether he has a local jeweler to resize your ring, so you have fewer overseas packages to worry about.  He may know a place with a really good reputation near you.

Could you get one of those things you put on the underside of the ring to help if fit better for the time being? Sorry I don’t know what they are called if they have a name.

That’s gorgeous!  If all you have nearby are chain stores, I’d send it back to your uncle.

I know the feeling! One of my stones came loose so I had to have my ring sent in for repair. I was without it for like three weeks! I kept feeling it not there and all of a sudden panicking, thinking that I had lost it lol Thank goodness I have it back safe and sound.

Ahh, yes, I have never had an experience with them so I really don’t know. I know some girls got temporary balls added on their rings and say they are removable if they need. I was thinking there was a rubber thing I had seen before but I don’t know what it was called so can’t find it, but that is really what I had in mind..not the metal ones. I think a temporary fix would be better until you can get it to him safely. By mailing it to him and him mailing it back I would think the worry alone would be worse than losing the ring off your finger.
