So there are a lot of talks about whether or not to change your surname, and there has been some many alternatives such as hyphenating, changing your middle name to your maiden, combining, creating a new one or him taking yours.
My question is are you changing your signiture??

My signature looks like a smear anyway, but FI’s doesn’t. Interesting thought, because if he takes my last name (something we’re considering), then I guess his signature is supposed to change too huh? Never considered that before.

Well my last name changed so my signature changed at the same time. I mean I still sign my first name the same so I guess that didn’t change?

@joya_aspera: the only reason this came up was because i was thinking of how to do mine and an ‘S’ and a “K” do not look good together… at all. My mum suggested that i take his name but keep my signiture as i do not like any of the ways i try to sign his name

Changing my name and changing my signature. My current last name is super long and a pain in the butt to sign, definitely won’t miss it!

my signature is really terrible and looks nothing like my real name, so I just will add an extra scribble or too to accommodate his longer surname

Yes– but mine is complicated. I am changing my name, keeping my maiden name at work, and have to sign legal documents for work. So I will go by Polly Wog, but have to sign Polly Newname. I am dreading the questions.

I changed my last name but my signature was always Lo-scribbly-line, and now it’s Jo-scirbbly-line, which pretty much looks identical in signature cursive.

I haven’t changed my signature yet – it’s just so second nature to me that when I go to sign with my new last name, it never comes out quite right! 🙂
