It makes me think of the character on Prison Break before I think of the President, haha.  As bad as that is.

But as a teenager, he could easily be called Link.  That’s a common nickname for Lincoln and I can see that transitioning well.

I think if it were any other year I would like the name better, but since the movie just came out is poor timing.

@MyFavouriteChords:  Well, I meant if you were to name him Lincoln, I love th enickname that goes along with it.. I didn’t mean that you should name him “Link” instead 😛
But I agree that a 30 year old shouldn’t go by “Link”.. but at the same token, Im sure that a 30 y/o would conform back to his birth name and stop going by his nick name when introducing himself :]
    Good luck!

Considering I know a man named Shirley, I can totally picture Lincoln as a 30-something business man! haha 😉

Maybe you can call him by his middle name during those years, or if he chooses?

Some friends of ours have a baby named Lincoln, and I absolutely ADORE him so I’m biased 🙂 I love it! He goes by Link most of the time and I think its so cute. What makes me love it even more is the fact that his 3 year old sister can’t say her L’s yet so she calls him “Wink”. I vote yes!!

Your obviously not super into it.  Have you considered compromising with your husband and using it as a middle name?

@KateByDesign:  Omg, I immediately thought of Prison Break too!

I like the name okay. Throw some others around too and see if any stick with your husband, but I’d be open to Lincoln.

@KateByDesign:  I was thinking the exact same thing.
