@LadyBlackheart:  Whenever FH and I are ready for our own kitties, I plan on getting a solid black kitty and a solid white kitty. I will name them Nox (black) and Lumos (white), like the Harry Potter wand spells for turning on the light and turning it off again. I’m a huge dork.

You need to meet the kitty before you can name him/her.

I’d just come up with a small list and see what fits him/her the best!

And love your name options, especially Atlas. We went the Harry Potter route with ours: Bellatrix and Albus.

I like Atlas! That’s a neat name.

But, I think we need a picutre of a cute kitten so we can help you! 🙂

This is super random, but you know that fizzy water that comes in cases, called LaCroix?  The grapefruit flavor is called Pomplemousse LaCroix (french for grapefruit), and I’ve always wanted to name a kitty that!  The nickname would be Pompy.

Also, have you thought about getting two?  It’s hardly any more work than one, and they’ll keep each other entertained and company when you’re gone.  I really think pets deserve a little friend.  Just my 2 cents 🙂

We went with Nemesis, but our second runner up (if we had gotten a boy) was Cicero.

I like Loki best from your list, I think.

I’ve always liked the name Salem for black cats 🙂

I like really human names for animals. And I’m not talking Charlie or Bob. I have a Frenchie named Stella, and am getting another one and really like the name Georges (and you would pronounce the ‘s’, I know that’s not proper French but it sounds funny and I like it).

For a cat though, I like Bojangles, Steve (weird I know), Carl. My friend had some neighbors with a cat named “Kitty Waffles” I know so wierd, but it was classic.
