I’m going to purchase a return address embosser to use on the back envelope flap on our invitations and save the dates.
What should I personalize it with? I will be taking the FI’s last name but don’t want to put that right now because when we send out the SaveTheDates and invites we won’t be married yet! But yet I would like to be able to use it after we’re married as well.
Would it be too impersonal to just put our first name?

I struggled with this too. I decided to just get a cheap self inking stamp.
I think just putting your first names is fine, that is what I will be getting on the self inking stamp. But for future use, I’d want our married last name on it, so that’s why I decided to go with the cheaper option instead of investing in the embosser plate.

I think that would work well but I also think you’ll probably want to use something with your new name after you’re married. You might think about holding off on buying one until after the wedding. You can usually get a “free” address stamp from vistaprint.com that could tide you over. Or vice versa.

You can do just your address! It eliminates the last name problem, but still looks pretty and you can use it after the wedding. Plus I actually think it’s more proper.

I second just using the address and then getting a proper embosser with your married name after.
