Whatever your legal actual name is now when you graduate is what you should put on it. It represents you as a person who earned the degree. My diploma would say Firstname Deptthatfundedme Maiden by your logic!

cooperlove:  I don’t think they need to match. My undergrad diploma has my maiden name and my grad diploma has my married name. Those were my legal names at the time that I graduated.

I would put whatever your legal name is.  My undergrad has my maiden name, and my graduate degree has my married name.  Just because the names are different doesn’t mean it wasn’t me that earned them!

cooperlove:  Mine aren’t going to match. My bachelors has my maiden name on it and my master’s will have my married name. It’s pretty common! Life takes us in different places lol
