im still undecided but my Fiance wants to do it on the Cornucopia Cruise Line in NJ. its about 120$ a person for the “GOLD” package. but it does included alot of things such as a 3 Tier Wedding Cake, Open Bar, Cocktail Hour, a Champagne Toast, Appetizers, Salad, Dinner *either sit down or buffet-my choice–still undecided* Coffee & Tea Service, The ship sails from NJ to The Statue of Liberty and back, Seat Covers and my choice of Napkins *though i will be getting personalized napkins*, a Bridal Room and an “Event Planner”. its a GREAT package but its also a 90 person minimum but my sister talked the guy down to 75 people 🙂 its about 9000$ for that alone, not including my dress and everything else….

now that Im thinking about it, is this too much ? hmm :/

Our venue will cost us about $3500 give or take a few hundred. This includes the ceremony space, cocktail hour, reception, linens, 2 dressing rooms, food and beverages for about 90 guests, an event lady for the day. And a few other basic things like linens and votive candles and things like that..

Our venue is The CLB Armoury. $200 to rent (using it for ceremony and reception). There was so a $300 deposit which goes toward our catering which is $15.50 a head. Sweet deal!

@Romantigua my cousin had her wedding there in March ’09, with a hundred or so people dancing the whole building felt like it was going to cave in any minute!

Some of the prices you are all listing sound fantastic!  I fell in love with a venue that is a bit more than I had budgeted and finding a caterer for what I consider a good price is looking dofficult.  :/  Anyone from capital region/upstate new york have suggestions for caterers? It would be most appreciated! 🙂

We are getting married at a Four Seasons hotel on an island in Asia. It is quite expensive for us but it’s pretty and we feel that we can trust them to make sure the event goes as planned. Only thing is, so far, they’ve been pretty flexible and every little thing will cost extra:)

For venue hire, food, drinks, cake and band (decorations is through another vendor vendor, this is about $1200), it adds up to almost US$20 000 for only 50 people;) Crazy, right… We’re totally regretting it now because we only agreed to pay so much because we wanted it to be nice for SO’s family and friends (they’re from Europe and would probably be into the whole beach wedding stuff whilst my culture’s more like “beach weddings are just for poor people”). Now, more than half of them aren’t even coming:(

We’re having our reception at a restaurant, and the space is free (minus a 300 dollar fee to use their terrace for the ceremony), food is 75 dollars a person and the open bar (we picked the premium one) is 50. Cake was included!

@jrosado983:

WOW… my venue was $17k for 75 people for a Saturday night 4 hour cruise around NYC … includes wait staff, linens, food, cake, open bar.  I have to get my own florist and DJ.

My ceremony location is $200 an hour, plus an extra $150 for setup/cleanup. That includes chairs only but it’s an art gallery so decorations will be minimal.

My reception hall is all inclusive, chairs, tables, linens, even a desert station, all for $26 a person, and a $50 bar tender fee for 4 hours.I am trying for around 50 people at the wedding.

So overall I found good deals I think 🙂

We’re having our reception a this place called The Grand Olympia. They had a wedding package sale last year that included a 4-tier wedding cake, a DJ, 8 1/2hr open bar, linens, floral centre pieces, tuxedoed wait staff and white glove service, escorted seating, late night buffet with brick oven pizza and an ice sculpture to top it all off!

For Fridays and Sundays, the fee per person is $69.95 plus tx and on Saturdays, is $89.95 plus tx. I booked mine for a Saturday night.
