@ladyamalthea: I also don’t like how common it is but I love how well traditional names grow up with your LO, so it’s hard!!
Oh I’m definitely not doing Leviticus then. The other day I was having a pregnancy moment and I heard this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlVBg7_08n0, and I started bawling because It made me think about how I want to raise my child to be a tolerant loving person. Not some a-hole!
Levi will still be on the list though!

@ladyamalthea: Yes, I too have very negative connotations with Leviticus.
@harperlynn: I love Charlotte! Levi is great on it’s own! Levi Atticus is a good combo. Elizabeth + any single syllable middle name would work well!

@remijp: Yes I didn’t realize. It was my FI’s suggestion to lengthen it to Leviticus but I really don’t like the image that brings across! I am not putting that on my child!!
My problem is that I don’t like the names like Elizabeth Rose, Grace, Leigh, etc. I can’t find anything special!

Have you considered just Beth? That’s becoming more and more common, I think it sounds adorable, and the Kiss song is so sweet.
Just curious, are you looking at baby name books or websites? I just know that when I’m pregnant I’m going to look at a ridiculous amount of names and make a ridiculously long list that gradually gets pared down.
I’m biased because I have an uncommon name, but I think most kids grow into unusual names very well. In fact I think everyone I know who hates their first name has a very common one, the people I’m thinking of specifically are Amber and Megan. But you can always think of the middle name as a fall back, and use it for something significantly more traditional or unusual. 🙂

I was in love with the name Levi for years but my cousin named his kid Levi so now I can’t use it. 🙁
FYI…I don’t like the name Leviticus. I just like plain and simple “Levi”.

@harperlynn: Are you interested in a less-common (more vintage) middle names or a quirkier offbeat name?
Also, you don’t need a middle name. My middle name is my mom’s maiden name!
@harperlynn: There was a boy named Levi (just Levi) in my school, so it seems normal to me. It is REALLY hard to get people not to nickname your kid, so if you hate it steer clear. I named my daughter Natalie and I HATE Nattie and Nat. But it’s a struggle and even my ex-MIL won’t listen to me! Charlotte Elizabeth seems like a beautiful name to me. 🙂

@ladyamalthea: I like beth but I think I would stick with Elizabeth so that she has options as an adult!
I’m looking at everything. I just can’t find anything that sticks! I haven’t come across any “unusual” names that have been appealing! I just get overwhelmed by the ammount of options and I keep coming back to something safe.
I am also open to suggestions.
@remijp: I definitely want a middle name and probably something more vintage but I wouldn’t mind something off beat either. I know one bee was considering Felicity Winter and Vivienne Gray which I thought were beautiful!
@jadlnc: Yeah that’s the struggle! That’s why I’m trying to steer clear of Edward or use it as a middle name. It’s a family name though so at the same time I’m sure the family would call him Edward and I can’t control what his friends call him!
I do like Charlotte Elizabeth a lot!

I do like Chloe and Zoe 🙂

Love the names Charlotte and Chloe.
Boys names are really hard. Not personally a fan of Leviticus. Are you looking for a biblical name? Or just something that could shorten to Levi? lol

Some boys names that I love at the moment-
Lennox, Kai, Darcey, Jake and Brayden
I really love the name Charlotte. For middle name some suggestions- Kathleen, Maree,

Like both girl names! I think I like Charlotte better because I don’t know any Charlottes, but Elizabeth seems more common.
I don’t like Edward. I really love Levi, but I hate Leviticus.

@harperlynn: I like Charlotte, mostly because I adore the nickname Lottie. I dont like the boys. Levi is just not appealing to me and Edward just reminds me of Twilight (which is silly considering its my dads name.) What about Edmund? I love Edmund. Or Eli? I’ve always thought that was a cute name.

@MrsEdamame: No I liked Levi and my Fiance was all Oh Leviticus would be better so he can have a full name and a nick name but I don’t want leviticus at all.
I know girls names are so easy!
@Holly77: Okay those were seriously the best suggestions ever! I have been thinking I would never find names I like. Feel free to suggest more, I would love to get a list going. I love Lennox and Kai. Darcey would be a great middle name.
Maree is actually a family name! I’m avoiding Catherine, Kathleen, Catlin, etc though!
