- Wedding: July 2013
I have no idea how to even google this question, so I’m turning to you, bees!
First off, let me preface this by saying that our wedding is not super formal. Traditional ceremony, but not fancy. And I’m certain that we’ve already broken some etiquette rules.
For the programs, however, I would like consistency and need to know how to address a certain issue. I will be listing first and last names for all the participants in our ceremony. My question comes in when it comes to my dad and brother. This is how I will be listing all the other names:
John and Jane Doe
My dad is a junior, my brother the third, and my nephew the fourth. So how do I list my parents and my brother and his wife? Would it be John and Jane Smith, Jr./III? or John, Jr. and Jane Smith? Neither? Should I drop the suffixes? The three of them go by different names (Jay, Jason, and Jack, respectively). Should I just put these instead of their given names? HEEEEELP!!!!
