I hate that Alexander is so popular. It’s a family name for my husband, so our first boy WILL be Alexander no matter the popularity. That makes me said since our other children will have less popular names.

Madison. It’s my mother’s maiden name and I always loved it, but now it’s so trendy, I don’t want to use it. I might use it for a middle name, though.

Aidan 🙁 I’m hoping it gets less popular by the time we want to have babies haha

Fiance and I probably won’t be having kids for several more years, so I guess we’ll see what names are super popular by then! We would definitely rule out a name if we felt like it was too popular. We wouldn’t go for something super unique (or weird) either to avoid having a popular or “trendy” name, though.

I am also on “team Aidan” :-(. I’ve loved that name since I heard it in a book I read in 5th grade! I also love the name Ethan, but that’s up there, too. I’m determined to not let that one get to me. Jack is also a good one, but I have a family member who named his dog that name.

Girl names: Madelaine, Lauren, and Mackenzie.

@LizLemon:  Awww, I don’t really keep up with the popularity of kids names. But two of these are my 4 year old twin nieces names and I think they are so sweet.

Aiden is the only one that I have actually noticed.

@thepainter:  It’s a shame! I LOVE the name Avery for a boy or a girl, but I don’t want to have a child who is one of like three Averys in his/her class. The name Jessica was like that when I was in grade school.

I’m so pissed that Twilight has ruined any form of the name Isobel.  🙁

My oldest niece’s name is Ava…and she will always be Ava F.  There has been at least one other Ava in every group she’s ever been in — preschool, play dates, kindergarten, first grade, second grade…

I always liked the name Olivia but that’s too popular now, too.

Jack reminds me of Little House on the Prairie…the dog’s name is Jack.  Also Titanic.  Also Torchwood.  Mmm Jack Harkness…
