Caroline. It’s such a beautiful name, but it’s my SO’s ex’s name and she was a lying whore, so.

futuremrsc2be:  That must go with the name because Caroline is ruined for me because of a girl I know for a similar reason.

Theodore comes to mind. It’s the name of an uncle I don’t respect and a kid who picked on me in elementary school.

ETA: also Arthur, an ex.

also because Darling Husband is Jewish we can’t name any kid after any living relatives. I didn’t particularly want to do this anyways, but I don’t like not having the option lol!

I love Belle as a middle name, and we’ve already agreed on a different middle name for a future daughter, but I’m not sure if I can use (not it but similar) “Delilah Belle” as a pet name because I already do that with our girl dog lol.

I’m a little surprised no one has said Noah, given how popular it is right now. I worked with a little boy with the name for a while and couldn’t do it, but the name is a little too biblical for my taste anyways.

Neveah- Heaven spelled backwards. I thought it was sweet and clever when I first heard it, but it is way overdone.

Aiden (or Ayden, Adan, Aydin, etc and all the other “-dens” like Cayden and Jayden etc)- Holy crap, SO SO SO overdone. I can’t even tell you how many kids I know with a variation of this name. I liked it at first but I’ve been over exposed.

Janelle- A good friend of mine is naming her daughter Janelle. Of course, I said it’s a great name. Secretly, I think of Janelle from Teen Mom and I can’t get behind it lol.

Julie because all the ones I know are b*tches for some reason. Weird!! Geneviève, same thing. I really liked Rosalie until I learned an ex-friend wanted to name her girl like this too… No David for me, I despised one of them when I was young cause he would annoy the heck out of me… I liked Aurélie until I met some med resident called like that and she was incompetent… Yeah! By the time I actually have kids, there won’t be many names left xD

Thomas, Alexander – Names of ex’s

George – Royal baby

Clara, Claudia, Caleb, Kieran – Clash with our surname

Lauren, Sarah/Sara, Maria – Almost everyone I met in high school with these names was mean, moody, or generally a pain in the backside. Although I’ve met some lovely Sarahs since, so I’ve softened to that name a bit. Not to Sara though. The extra ‘h’ makes all the difference!

Isabel, Edward, Anastasia, Alice – Twilight/50 Shades

Bianca – Eastenders (a soap opera)

Sarah and Stephanie for girls. I associate both of those names with bratty, spoiled little girls. Sorry to any of you with those names- I’m sure you are absolutely beautiful people!

I loved Olivia.  I still do, but my DH’s friend’s wife named his Dear Daughter Olivia and since we see them pretty often, that option went out the window 🙁

lnadinee:  lol I have a neice named Ava. They were trying to be original.. whoops!

the name Carl is 100% ruined for me. SO and I have each known some obnoxious Carls, and every time there is a Carl on TV or in a movie he seems to be a villian or a douche. (maybe now it just seems that way to us because we’re looking for it haha) but we always turn to each other and go “CARL!!!!”  NO Carls.

I’m also not a fan of anything too common for a potential son/daughter’s name. SO’s last name is very common and how many Sarah Smiths (not real last name) are there already? My name is very unique and I’ve never met another one, but it’s not forced unique like “Apple Martin” or “North West.” I like the idea of doing what my parents did and use a maiden name from the family for children’s names.
