James has been ruined for me because FIs last name is Holmes and James Holmes is the guy who committed the mass shooting at the batman movie. Sigh…

I used to love the name Sebastian but one’s been the cause of my worst life experience to date so it’s probably permanently down the drain, now

Alayne…this horrible chick ruined it for me.  Whenever I even hear her name now, I just want to punch someone in the face. Sorry to anyone with that name!!

I have alway loved the name Tess. I read a whole lot of Thomas Hardy novels in college and Tess of the  D’Ubervilles is a pretty well known book. Anyway… when I was pregnant with my first child, my sister got a puppy and they named the puppy Tess. No way I could ever use that name after that!

BearyLovely:  Maybe you don’t like this pronouciation, but that’s a common name in Germany pronouced “Ann-yah”, which isn’t as easy to make fun of!

James! It was my #1 name for a girl ever since I saw an episode of Friends at 12 years old (Rachel: “James…. but only if it’s a girl.”) Then Blake Lively named her daughter that 🙁

Also, Anniston for a girl (are you sensing a theme here? Lol). An acquaintance named her daughter that last month and it broke my heart. But apparently the name is becoming more popular so I might take it anyway.

Jane and Emma. Loved them both, especially Jane, but Jane is DH’s stepmother and Emma is his ex. I work around kids a lot so anything ending with -aden (one family has 3 boys and ALL of them are some variation of an -aden), Clara, Ava, Trent (never liked it but this one kid has ruled it out for all time) and Teagan.
