We’ve stayed at Roman Spa in Calistoga a couple of times.  It’s very low-key, with indoor and outdoor hottubs.  Not super fancy, not super intimate, but very nice.  Some of the rooms have hottubs in the bathroom which would be pretty sweet for a honeymoon.  Calistoga is an adorable little spa town near a bunch of the wineries… you can walk up and down the main drag where there’s some restaurants and bars.  It might be a little slow for a whole week, but it’s definitely fun for a couple of days.

We’re planning ours for Sept 2011 and have identified a couple we like – Cottage Grove Inn in Calistoga (cute individual cottages) and Auberge du Soleil (splurgey).

We rented a 1 bedroom suite (with kitchen, etc) at the Vino Bello Resort.  Its the timeshare property connected to the Meritage Resort.  Its not like in downtown Napa, but its a quick drive and they provide shuttles to any dinner restaurant in the area, and arrange pick-up too.  They also have a great concierge service that got us free passes to winetastings, etc.

The REAL perk was the room however.  HUGE luxury suite with king size bed, huge jacuzzi tub IN the room, huge living room, gourmet kitchen, free wi-fi, the most high-tech shower I’ve ever seen, and they brought us bottled water, a bottle of wine, and soda every day.  I loved having a full kitchen, because we could just buy a few things at the store and have breakfast or lunch in our hotel room without having to venture out and spend a lot of money.  (Meant more money for wine and dinner!)  We were so tired the first day or two that we just wanted to hole up and veg out, so it was perfect.

I would not recommend their studio – its really small – but the 1 bedroom suite was available for a small upgrade fee and we loved it.

I got our deal on Hotwire, but you can book through the Meritage too.  We paid like $120 a night.

We’ve also stayed at the Marriott in Napa and they have REALLY comfy beds and wonderful staff.  They had a concierge lounge with fruit, cookies, bottled water and soda, and wine in the evening that was really nice for a little snack.  Its also near downtown Napa and the outlets if you wanna shop.

Oh, and by the way, make a reservation at Bouchon in Yountville while you are there and mention its your honeymoon.  We got impeccable service, a free salmon rillettes appetizer and free champagne!  It was wonderful!

And the BEST wine tasting we had all week was at Judd’s Hill.  Its small, all red wines, by appointment only, but really fantastic and the wines themselves weren’t that expensive ($30 bucks a bottle?)

Auberge du Soleil is nice but like @fieldielover: said pricey. Check out the Harvest Inn in St Helena. It is beautiful and kind of centrally located to a lot of stuff.
